...while the librarian was on vacation early this week. The substitute (who will remain nameless...whistle...whistle...whistle) locked the front door and left at 5 p.m. on the dot. Thirty minutes later as she and her husband were on their way to a meeting in Longview, she received a phone call. It seems some poor soul called 911. He was locked IN THE LIBRARY!!!
At 4:45 I...er, I mean she advised the patron on the computer that he needed to wrap it up...he did and left. No one else was visible. I know... because I looked...er, I mean the substitute told me so.
Moral of this story...if you are in the library anytime close to closing for lunch or the evening, and you need to make a trip to the restroom, please let the librarian or her substitute know. ;o)
Oh, he was let out in a timely manner. Sheriff's dispatch located someone with a key.
