Book Review

The Cook's Encyclopedia of Cookies, Biscuits & Bars
Hilaire Walden

Oh! My goodness! I gained ten pounds tonight just perusing the recipes in this book. Did I mention color photographs of each and every cookie, savory biscuit, and bar? I promise you that the aroma of chocolate, cinnamon, anise, molasses, and various other spices and ingredients lightly wafted around me as I drooled...er, I mean flipped through the pages.

The introduction includes a history of cookies. Also included are tips, hints, and techniques; as well as necessary utensils.

This is a cookie lover's delight!

In addition to this fantastic cookie cookbook, the Daingerfield Public Library has several cookbooks on its shelves.
